Eric Kuehl, Rest in Peace
August 4, 1986- April 1, 2017
On Saturday, April 1, 2017 we learned of and grieved the loss of a great member of our community. Eric Kuehl, an active member of The Barman's Fund, has passed away. He will be greatly missed by all that had a chance to know him.
A message from his brother is posted below.
I've spoken to a lot of people and many kind folks have reached out to me about my brother Eric Kuehl.
For those of you that haven't heard, Eric passed away this past weekend. It was a shock and a tragedy and we're all still reeling from the event.
For those of you who knew Eric and want to pay their respects, the funeral and wake will be held this coming Monday, April 10, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, I ask that you donate to Eric's two favorite charities, the Barman's Fund and Habitat for Humanity. Eric was active in the Barman's Fund, holding a charity event for the Fund just two weeks ago. He has been working with Habitat since high school and still gave his time and his sweat to the cause when he could."
"Come on down to the farm for Grow Dat’s annual fundraiser, the Hootenanny! Get ready for an evening of dancing and festivities under the Louisiana night sky! Youth leaders will host farm games and food-themed activities, local restaurants will cook up delicious small plates, musicians will please the crowd with boot-stompin' tunes, and we'll offer unlimited craft cocktails and ice-cold beer. This year, we are excited to announce Cedryl Ballou and the Zydeco Trendsetters as our headlining performer, along with opening performances by Lost in the Holler and My Wife's Hat. Join us as we listen to live zydeco music, kick up our heels together, and celebrate food, agriculture, and New Orleans youth!"
Drink With Purpose this Spring.

YLC Wednesday at the Square will feature Barman's Funders checking ID's at the beer outlets. Don't try any funny business, we are professionals, after all.
Our best cowgirls and cowboys will be stomping at the Grow Dat Youth Farm Hootenanny on Friday, April 21st at 6:30 in the evening.
Spring Swing on Magazine on April 18th is a food experience stroll celebrating spring and the festival season. $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to The Barman's Fund and our April Charities.

Help for Heroes
Thanks to our dozens of volunteers, throngs of visitors, four amazing bands, Chef Bucks, Castnet Seafood, Cajun Grill Sausage, Industry Bar and Kitchen, Nicole's Boutique, Spa Atlantis, The Penthouse Club and many more, we have once again increased our donation from last year's totals.
The heroes of this event are pictured above. Those bartenders donated their tips from this event, worked on the planning committees, chipped in from their own pockets and left the building with smiles on their faces.
Each and every dollar raised at this event will impact the lives of the men and women who serve our communities each day and night. We could not be more proud to gift the event total in it's entirety to Help for Heroes.
